Hello guys,

A friend of mine has a website in my country(Romania) and wants to do SEO on it but i don't have knowledge to rank Local Websites.

1) What type of links i need to create(Beside local citations)?
2) I need to use content in my language(it's hard and very expensive to find articles in my language) ?
3) What if i will use english content in combination with my keywords(will this hurt my website) ?
Also any tips are welcome !
Thank you

I am an expert but i think you will need Content in your language :)

1. Yes, you will need citations, if you can do a GMB listing then even better.
2. You will definitely need content in your own language.
3. Never tried this but I suggest you don't do it.

I know i need to do GMB listing and citations but beside that what type of links i will need?(Directory submission, web 2.0 etc)

Something related to pumps but translated in my language :)

Use some Romanian Sites and start building links there which could be more beneficial then you can rank easily.

Comments are working very well on .ro (must be related thou) . If you speak romanian why not do yourself the content?
On .ro the competition is low to medium in your niche I think so if you manually build some links daily you will definetly rank.

Try to get high quality links from .ro domains as many as you can and yes citation is a must.

Create a great content in your own language and make an article in Wikipedia about your website.

Do research on the Local Internet Market.
1. Target the market where you want to sell your Product.
2. Only Post your local Blogs , Your country based websites.

Simple way to rank is post some special things in nearest newspapers and get some links to your sites from your local websites related to your niche sites.

good course on Local Seo is of Stephen Floyd, dont know how hard is it that niche in your county but with what he teach on his course I was able to rank lots of local biz

Ofcourse citations, but also try to get the majority of your links from Romanian websites and local businesses

For ranking a GMB, find niche keyword phrases (w/ decent traffic) returning local results, then analyze the top 3 GMB results that are appearing. This is the competition you'll have to beat to rank your own GMB.

How many citations and reviews does each have? What is the Domain Authority (or Trust/Citation flow if you prefer majestic) of the website associated w/ each listing? How many backlinks (and what quality) does the website associated with each listing have? Do any of them have the target keyword phrase in the actual business name? (if so that listing will be harder to beat)

1. Choose the keyword phrases with decent traffic and competition you think you can beat (get more citations, more reviews, higher DA, more backlinks, better quality backlinks, etc.)
2. Optimize your GMB and associated website for those keyword phrases
3. Start working to beat the competition in all those metrics

I worked for 200 US clients as a local SEO expert. I want to break down what I did there. 3 Steps:

1. Keyword research (local keyword i.e. Plumbing services in los angeles california)
2. On page based on local keyword and setting map in every pages.
3. Local Citation i.e. Google business page, bing local, yahoo local listing and other local business directory listing what locally owned. Believe me only relevant local listing will boost your ranking within short period of time though it depends on keyword.

Don't do local listing which is not giving similar or relevant service. Last but not least, please claim every listing. It will work.
