Alright guys, I'm fairly new to the game here, however I've been trying for about a week to rank my site in google, I've been posting backlinks where I found applicable, sharing on facebook to large groups (100,000+) members, posting on .edu and .gov sites, however all of the comments just get declined by moderation. I've followed some guides, I keep my website in the signature of the forums that I'm a member to, and post it on the forums aswell, some of the forums I'm on have PR1 status, but despite my best efforts, my page-rank is not moving. When i check it with "prchecker" i get this message The N/A pagerank (grey pagerank bar) might be due to one of the following reasons: (1) the web page is new, and it is not indexed by Google yet, (2) the web page is indexed by Google, but it is not ranked yet, (3) the web page was indexed by Google long ago, but it is recognised as a supplemental page, (4) the web page or the whole website is banned by Google. Please click here to learn more about N/A pagerank and Grey Pagerank Bar. I need some help guys, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've used automated submitters aswell to submit my domain to like 18,000 places, but none of them are showing up. EDIT: If I had money to spend on Seo tools, and backlink packages, I would, but I'm using GPT sites to fund, and considering I got a low rank on one of them before a payout, I can't recieve it yet, so Im stuck with about $3
i think google hasnt gave any pr update from past 1 month. Also u need to wait atleast a month to get a PR update as no one knows when it will be released.
Lol you wont get PR that quick even google updated While PR 1 is easy to get after that it becomes much harder But google hasn't updated in 7 months so keep building you might have PR after they update
You will be lucky to see results in a week unless it is a really low competition keyword. Don't bother worrying about page rank it's a relatively useless stat unless you are selling links on your website. You don't need a higher page rank to move ahead of the competition in the SERPS. Just keep building links and you will see movement for your keyword and increased PR.
There hasn't been a Google PageRank update for months, Google PR doesn't matter anyway for ranking purposes. Also ranking a new site takes time, don't go blasting your new site with loads of links otherwise it'll be penalised before it even starts to rank.
Its been a week and you are not PR5 yet? What a loser. On a serious note, ranking your website and PR are two different things. Google only updates PR a couple of times a year. Spamy sites with spamy backlinks will never get much PR. The questions you should be asking are: How new is my site? What is my bounce rate? Do people stay on my site when they visit or leave? Does my site have quality content? Is my site user friendly? Are my backlinks from quality sites in my niche or junk links from junk or unrelated websites.? Do I have any high PR links pointing to my site?
If you have submitted your domain to 18k pages already, and likely have no authority (since you're asking about PR not increasing), you could have very well set your domain up to be penalized.
How new is my site: Fairly new, about two weeks now. What is my bounce rate: I don't know what a bounce rate is. Do people stay on my site when they visit or leave: They probably leave, as it's just a review of a product. Does my site have quality content: I would like to belive it's quality, and 100% unique. Is my site user friendly: As user friendly as it gets. Are my backlinks from quality sites in my niche or junk links from junk or unrelated websites: My backlinks are from quality sites, however not exactly in my niche. Do I have any high PR links pointing to my site: No. Also, Isn't PR what displays what page on google your website is on? Perhaps I'm going nuts here, or I've been doing research in all of the wrong places. I NEED my site to show up on google.
PR is Page Rank. You're getting PR confused with SERPs (Search Engine Results Placements). Type in info:yoursite.com in google and see if it's indexed, it sounds like that's your issue. If it's indexed, you're backlinking structure is too weak for your targeted keywords. PR hasn't been updated since last February, so that's why your site is listed as PR N/A when you ran the prcheck.
He (or she) has the gist of it. What you are wanting to do is increase your ranking in the search engine results pages (SERP's). Page rank has nothing to do with where you show up in Google. If your site is a local business site, PM me the URL and I will take a look. If it is an IM site I will defer to others with more knowledge than I. At any rate, it can take months to rank for competitive keywords. You might want to do a little more keyword research and find easier keywords to target if you want to rank faster.
If it's for a highly competitive keyword/s, it will take time to rank. I got ranked in two weeks but those are for very unique keywords with low competition. Usually, sites appear to rank in a week or so but those are temporary ranking. That's just my opinion anyway, I'm no SEO expert lol
Hell, from what I know you need at least two weeks to get any results, and even this is not certain. Depends on the keywords used, if they have a high competition then you'll gonna need a lot more than that. I knew a guy, who used to try to get into top 10 for almost a year with his web store that was selling car rims (high competition around here for auto parts) constantly creating backlinks, but to no effect.
What you need is some Gmail inbox links, a little secret what only us "experts" know about. Get a few Gmail Inbox links and you will soon have a PR8 website that outranks anything.
try to get high authority backlinks and links from high pr pages if ur highly concerned abt PR. but it wont have any impact in your ranking.
get top quality links, not just some spammy comments. Also, PR is irrelevant now because it's been over 6 months without an update. Ahrefs and MOZ stats are the most accurate.
Make sure your on-page optimization is great. get quality links. go to BST and get some quality backlinking and drip-feeding when you can afford it. buy some traffic. set up social media sites and get them linked between each other and your money site. with that being said get some social signals as well. on fiverr or bst.
Honestly, I rarely think about the PR of my websites because it really doesn't matter that much in the grand scheme of things. Google doesn't exclusively rank your site based on PR, there are SO many variables in its algorithm for determining where to ranks sites in the SERPS. PR is mostly important when it comes to backlinks, because links with a higher PR can help boost your site in the SERPS (but even in this case PR is not always that important). In the end, if you're looking to get higher rankings, focus on on-page SEO, providing valuable content to your readers, including pictures and videos where appropriate, and getting good, high quality, relevant links. Have you tried looking for guest posting opportunities? Find places to guest blog for can be a great way to get good, high quality links, and its free. Sure it might take a while, but since you don't have much in terms of funding, it can be a good method to start with.
