I Need Some Advice!

Hey everyone, i need a little advice!

Right now i have my bussiness site, and its been around for years, but when i made the domain, i made it bussiness name. it just gets about 300 vists a day and thats because i pay for my advertisment via google adsense and such.

But what i wanted to know, if i find a keyword that maybe gets search on google on average 6,000 times a month and make a domain with that keyword will it rank top?

Example: Keyword: Wholesale Printers Domain: Whosaleprinters.net

Would it rank on google and be somewhere on the first page when someones searchs for Wholesale Printers.

And if so, how would i get users to vist my Main/Original site. I was thinking of just having 1 page with info and a link to the site but not sure if that would work well or not.

Or using .htacess file to redirect but not sure if google will rank the domain or ban it from google.

Let me know! Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

well dude, Buying a domain with target keywords doesn't always mean tht you will get higher rankings, For e.g webhosting.com or web-hosting.com domain is not there in the top10 list when you search for hosting or webhosting. But if you search seo, you will find, seochat , seo.com , seobook & alot more.

What i want to say is keeping a keywordrich domain will always help, provided you do link building. you will have to build quality links pointing towards your keyword reach site & BOOM u'r on top.

The keyword rich domain will always help. But it doesn't gurantee you higher rankings.

also if you will buy a dot com domain. There are chances that you will get typein traffic. Cause people have a tendency to type url in the browsers. For e.g if i am looking for wholesale printers , i might type wholesaleprinter.com or wholesaleprinter & then press ctrl + Enter. & just for your information, as per the latest research done by industry experts Type-in traffic convert the most. No search engines can beat traffic quality of typein traffic :) Best of luck.

Having a domain with good keywords in it is only one piece of the puzzle. There's other on page factors like the title, the header and the description and also backlinks (and quality of backlinks, like whether it has the keywords in the achor text or the PR of the page linking is high)
 
Well, i understand kind of, Basically my website was built on a cheap hosting plan back in the day and they wont let me upgrade it, it comes with no ftp or anything it only allows 20 keywords.

So what im thinking of doing, is buying a new domain, get some good keywords, description, header. Some good keyword filled content, and then alot of good quality backlinks.

Also on that site it will have links to my original domain. What do you think?
 
It's easy enough to move your existing web site to another hosting provider if you want more functionality.
 
Ya i know that also.

But i am going to buy 2 new domains. and put 1 page on both of them with good keyword content and put links to my main site on their and hopefully it should rank somewhere in google. Do you think that would help bring in some traffic?
 
I was/am in the same situation as you. I bought the keyword domain name and built a blog on it. I use the blog to promote my main sales site with my business domain name. I wish I had a great success story to tell, but it's only been a couple of months.
 
Hey blackbeast, did you notice any increase in traffic to your main site?

Also do you post blogs on a daily basis?
 
The blackhat way is to build a doorway pages using a very good script like traffic booster pro
Use your keyword domain and build thousands of pages (of course slowly) targeted to your desired profitable keyword
Use java or flash redirection
Gain backlinks by spamming - PR Storm, Prosubmitter, Xrumer, Autopligg (or the likes)
And in just a matter of weeks, you will be seeing traffic, traffic, traffic to your main site

Or you can also do it the greyhat way (cheaper)
Install a wordpress blog
Install important plugins that will be used for optimization like All in One SEO
Install a content scaper
Build a ton of post
Use uniquefier to fool G that your contents are unique
Gain backlinks using prosubmitter or the likes in a slower phase
Once all pages are indexed
Redirect via .htaccess
 
Will Domains get banned from search engines using .htaccess to redirect?
 
Alright, i might do it the greyhat way, is their a good content scraper you would recommand?

What do you mean by build tons of post?
 
Hey This is what i got so far...

I installed Wordpress, Instant Article Wizard, and im running the articles through Google translator to make it unique. Then posting the articles in my word press in different categories. But one question, for the tags/keywords can i just make a big list of keywords and use it for all my post?

Let me know if im doing this right!
 
no, dont just dump it
install the all in one seo
you can use rss aggregator to scape content via rss
you can cron it and set it to post every day
use uniqiefier for these kind of post - download this plug in here
you know what, just download the express wordpress and install it
it has tons of plugins

It will definitely help, but it's not the magic formula to getting ranked for a term.

Okay i got that installed, but im having a hard time finding blogs/ feeds for my keyword/product i sell... I sell Golf/Polo Shirts. So what kind of feeds can i use?
