I need some advice

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working as a link builder for more than five years, and unfortunately, I’ve noticed that demand for outreach and forum links has dropped significantly. This is especially noticeable in the iGaming niche.
Could you share your thoughts on what the next step should be? Is it better to move forward and start building my own websites, or are there other viable directions to explore, excluding Reddit, Trustpilot, and similar platforms?
Are there any newer types of links or link-building services that are currently in demand and can still generate good income?

I’m honestly afraid of losing the field I’ve dedicated more than five years to. At the same time, I understand that if I don’t adapt and change, the next few google updates may completely wipe out my current way of working.
While writing this, I also realized that people probably won’t openly share truly valuable information because that’s what makes them money but I’m still naive enough to hope I might find something useful here.

I would think in this line
If links where valuable such that people where engaging you for this service
What could be the next 3 things similar to what link does or the value links provide that would be valuable as links.. which I can start serving to my list of customers



2..if it happens that links business completely goes dead tomorrow
What are the subset of service in that same niche that would be in demand and valuable.to the customers

This is what should be your focus

It's works in every industry of tech

If you have been working in outreach for 5+ years, I would create your own websites as well as provide my services. There is always a need for good digital PR, niche edits, and authority outreach people just pay attention to traffic and relevancy now.

Honestly, I still don’t know how to answer the first question.

Demand for crowd links and outreach has dropped significantly. Most clients from high-risk niches now seem to want backlinks from compromised websites, claiming that they provide a very strong boost. However, that is already black-hat territory. I want to make money, not risk my freedom.

There is also strong demand for backlinks from Reddit and similar platforms, but unfortunately, the competition there is extremely high. You can only get orders if you provide better quality at a lower price than the rest of the market. Considering how much money needs to be invested and the fact that I would be a newcomer in this area, the return on investment would probably take a very long time.
During that payback period, there could be many spam-related updates from both Reddit and Google.
Overall, I’m confused about which direction to choose.

Maybe the real problem is that I have always worked through referrals. I never had my own Telegram channel and wasn’t active in different SEO communities or chats. Perhaps with better marketing, I could still make money from the services I already know how to deliver very well. I’m not sure.

I think moving into your own sites makes sense after 5 years in link building, you already understand what works and what doesn’t.

I think so, but it requires significant investment, and it can take up to six months to rank well in SEO. You also have to keep in mind that after every spam update or indexing glitch, many of the teams I’ve worked with have fallen to the bottom of the iGaming niche.
