Hello, everyone!
Recently, I've noticed a problem with low conversion rate responses to my proposals on Upwork.
I actively send out proposals almost immediately after the request appears but receive few responses

Is this problem related to the cover letter writing, or are there any other factors affecting this?

Could you give me some tips if you are well versed in Upwork and have experience with it as a freelancer?
Thanks!

Most of the time, you never get an update. They just move from active to archived unless the client contacts you.

What are some pro tips that can help me land some jobs to get some traction going?
There is no "One fits all" advice. You need very good skills, you have to have a great profile with an eye-catching and convincing portfolio. Your proposals have to be well written. You have to have great marketing skills to sell yourself well.

The vast majority of new freelancers, even if they have the technical skills, don't have the "running and selling your business" skills.

It's hard to tell unless you show us your profile. Are you reputable and having lots of reviews? Aged account? There are lots to consider.

Before starting my search for projects I took enough time to organize my profile and add a few interesting projects to my portfolio. The profile is set up well.
Given this fact, I think my main problem may be writing the proposal. My tactics have most likely stopped working.
What methods of attracting a client to your proposal do you usually use?

Why not it's big issue. I face already but I find a solution inbox I guide you better

It depends on how long you have been on the site. I've tested different cover letters and have seen some increase in conversions, but the best thing you can do is have a strong portfolio (spec or not).

Are you writing generic cover letters? How old is your account, how many past gigs are present?

There are a lot of factors but the most common reasons clients don't responds are:
- its a scam. They just want to drive traffic to some page.
- they are looking for someone else with higher stats than yours
- your cover letters aren't specific enough that shows you can do the work.

Try fixing whichever of this is applicable to you.
