I've been out the local SEO for a while now, I need some advice on how to do this! Does Google Business center still exist? I need to rank a local sportclub for the searchterm "sport + city".

Honestly, I'd be willing to be that it'd be pretty easy to rank for that, unless you're in a major city. Find a basic Google Places e-book or video course and that should tell you enough to get you to page 1 for that term.

Pm me if you have specific questions. Usually a good site with great on page SEO is half the battle and the rest is citations. I ranked local sites with nothing but onpage SEO. Depends on how well optimized the competition is.

Very Simple. Go to Google Plus Local . Add your business and once you have verified it. Then go to top sites like superpages, yellowpages, manta and add your business with the same inf you put there at Google Plus Local page.

By this way you can rank your local business.
