I need Help...

I just checked my google analysis dashboad and i just found out that am having 95%+ bounce rate on my blog ... shits that really sucks .. reducing my ranking and my earning... can any body help... i saw a plugin here on bhw Zerobounce but it not free and i dont have money to purchase the plugin please can anybody help me .... with my normal stats i get about 3k unique visitors aday skype: chidex360

You could use a simple welcome page and provide links to your best content.. The free "Redirect wordpress to welcome or landing page" plugin can do what you need. It drops a 1 day cookie so is not show all the time.

I had this same problem on one of my sites.

The related posts plugins help. You need to provide them with opportunities to click on other pages.

You might have come across Also read: mentions inside your competitors blog posts, those are another good option.

The content which they land on, needs to be high quality for you to decrease the bounce rate. Yes, content is over hyped but in a blog post it matters.

Do you have any popups on your blog, if yes, try removing them or making them less frequent.

Without actually seeing your site i can only make a few suggestions here...
Firstly what is the navigation like on your site, is it easy to find stuff quickly or do visitors need a degree to work it out.
Do you have annoying popups that keep appearing?
Hard selling straight off can put people off, better to build authority and trust and recommend stuff rather than in your face selling.
Are your posts written using lots of fancy words and tech jargon, people who find your site might be new to the subject so a softer approach might be better.
Are you saying something in 1,000 words when 400 would do, long winded blocks of text is off putting.
Are you using videos or images in your posts, helps to keep people longer when they can watch stuff
do some keyword research and give your visitors what they want.
Add a news feed for your niche, can help keep people longer

If I were you I'd look at where they bounce to before anything else, if people bounce to your affiliate links then I'd work on getting the bounce rate up and not down, however if they are just leaving the page or bouncing back to google search results then you have to improve your content and/or your writing skills a lot

Bullshit! 95% Bounce rate! How is that possible? Does really your site build with content or something else? I am really confused... Try to control your bounce rate. Ranking and earning will be increased. Provide shareable not only readable content.

post quality & helpful content is key

Try to locate the pages that have a high bounce rate and ask yourself: if I suddenly landed on this page would I continue reading or run away immediately.

He is right! Try to double check that and if they are just leaving your page, try to make your website more attractive, maybe a video will help - Good luck

I know this may sound mental... but is this a 1 page website?

Without another page to go on all your visits should be counted as bounced visits.

2 things effect bounce rate from my experience:

1. When they visit from a google SERP, the content/information they were expecting is not there and they go back and look for another website where they can find the information they were looking for.
2. When the user interface of your website is confusing and the user simply does not know what to do and gives up.

Are either of these things applicable to your website?
