Hey guys, I need help developing this idea of mine and I will then share it with the rest. But first, if someone knows of any software, that can help pin-point secured and unsecured wireless networks on a gps, then it would complete it. Your help is appreciated, and I will thank! If I am in the wrong area, please fix me up Admin! Thank you!
Driving around? I once read about a complicated way to connect network stumbler to a gps to map wifi networks. I think that's what you should look for...
I have been looking into that... But does it actually pin-point it? Or does it just give you a vague idea of the location?
I dont know if its exactly what you're looking for but it's close. check out these guys: http://www.wefi.com/
You can read more about it here... Code: http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/article.php/3589131 Scroll down to "Mobile Tracking with GPS" and see if that's what you're wanting to do.
That looks like pretty good software, the only problem is that mapping is very inaccurate and it goes by IP address.
Install the symbian NetStumbler on your phone. http://www.netstumbler.com/2006/07/25/symbian-os-93-adds-wi-fi-support/
