I need help to maximize my Content-locking revenue.

I own a website which gives free bots (programs designed to play for you in order to gain an advantage in a role playing game) for the game Runescape. they are content-locked using adscend media and thats how my site is monetized.

Im trying to tweak my content-locker text in order to maximize my revenue.

this is the text im using right now, which appears in the gateway box just above the offer links:

Am i over-doing it? would i get better CTR and EPC by just saying "Please complete an offer to access your download"?


i've tried some split-testing but it takes terribly long considering i only have between 10 and 20 leads per day at the moment. i'd like advice from the incentive CPA gurus.

I been using content lock for years.

1. Make sure you have a nice looking content lock design, this does help A LOT.
2. When doing direct downloads it's better to have the content lock appear on click, this way the user knows he is just one step away from getting his file.
3. Make sure you don't display offers that pay really low, are for purchases, or trial. (From my experience)

Instead of using a on-click contentlock popup, when the user clicks the "downlaod button", he is redirected to a page where he can see the entire bot's programmation code written down, where he needs to copy/paste it in the appropriate program. However, content lock window appear 0.5 sec after arriving on this page, so the user see's the coding but cant access it until he's completed an offer.

the content lock design im using a standard adscendmedia box, ill check into that.

Any change you would suggest i do to my welcoming text?

I would cut it down a bit it's really long.

Default CPA skins are seen 1000's of times, try to make a custom one to match your site.

I agree with most of what Checkmate said, except point #3. If you have a lot of traffic, low paying offers that convert well are still very valuable.

As far as your original question - I think less wordy would be better.

We're recently released a new content locker system - we will be adding the feature to split test multiple lockers in the future. The content locker also works with multiple networks =)
