    Hi,

Today I got a mail from this dude bob@tsnet-asia.com regarding my domain name..

    Mail says:
    "Dear President,

We are the department of Asian Domain registration service in china, have something to confirm with you. We formally received an application on March 12, 2012. One company which self-styled "Horis Industrial Co. Ltd" were applying to register "howtomake********" as Network Brand and following domain names:

    howtomake********.asia
    howtomake********.cn
    howtomake********.com.cn
    howtomake********.com.tw
    howtomake********.hk
    howtomake********.in
    howtomake********.net.cn
    howtomake********.org.cn
    howtomake********.tw

After our initial checking, we found the name were similar to your company's, so we need to check with you whether your company has authorized that company to register these names. If you authorized this, we will finish the registration at once. If you did not authorize, please let us know within 7 workdays, so that we will handle this issue better. Out of the time limit we will unconditionally finish the registration for "Horis Industrial Co. Ltd".

    Best Regards,

    Bob Chen

I've replaced my actual domain name with " howtomake********" here.

So, my question is is this a spam mail or actually a legal mail? What should I be doing with this.

Since the domain name is like "howtomake********", I don't think it can be branded..

    Please advice.

    Thanks

It's most likely a spam email trying to hijack your domain.
