hey everyone. paypal has hold my money for over a year now and refuse to release it.
what must I do.

you should ask them what needs to be done to release it I am going to guess you need to upload your id or tax information or something along those lines.
 
Normally they release money after 180 days. They must be needing more information.
Is this a stealth account?

They typically release it after 180 days. If for whatever reason they need to hold it longer, they typically tell you what you need to do to get it back. I've had them put this hold on my money on more then one occasion, and always got it after the 6 months.
 
You should contact them, that is a long time to hold your money if they have really strong reasons to believe you are doing something against their TOS but I'm talking something serious they won't be releasing that money any time soon.
 
Call them. It usually gets resolved faster when you call. They will usually provide you with all of the information needed to release the hold
