I need help and advice for the Stripe payment gateway.

Hi everyone, I’m an entrepreneur and I run a website that offers services like servers, domains, hosting, and ready-made website themes.

I’m considering adding Stripe as a payment gateway, but I’m a bit worried. In the past, I integrated Stripe into my taxi mobile app and my account was shut down after the very first payment.

I have an LLC, and my target market is mainly the Balkan region. Unfortunately, Stripe has always been a headache, but for new businesses it's sometimes the only option especially here in Montenegro, where there are no proper third-party payment gateways. Banks do offer online payment processing, but they require a €50,000 security deposit, which is unrealistic for small startups.

My question is: Would Stripe be safe to use on a hosting/server-related website, or is there still a high risk of sudden account termination?
Any advice or real experiences would be appreciated.

So far from my experience, Stripe has been good and consistence in terms of receiving payments.
Was there any message from Stripe in terms of what caused your account to shut down? I believe they should have at least give you a proper explanation when situation like this happens.
 
Stripe is good as long as you use it for white hat business. Every payment gateway has some risk of account termination, so it’s better to go with the best payment gateway.

I can recommend using Airwallex.
 
Stripe works well for hosting/server businesses when everything is clean and transparent. We use Stripe as one of our payment methods, and it’s been stable for us with clear services, proper verification, and well-defined site policies.

You can check some other alternative payment service.
 
Stripe can be safe for your businesses, but only if your risk profile is clean and transparent. but be careful for recurring billing, chargebacks, and abuse-heavy vps clients make it medium risk. Use strong legal pages + 3ds + fraud rules, and never rely on stripe as your only processor (you can try using paypal or 2checkout as backup in parallel)
 
I would not recommend the above.
Stripe and AirWallex are really bad for this.

You have financial statement history? like processing history?
