This is my first post here!
I would really like some honest feedback on this website.

What is your opinion on the lay out not so much the functionality...?
There are a lot of websites out there that have the same look and feel...
I don't know if I went a little overboard or not...

My client is 72 years young, lol, and did not like the way I have it laid out!
This was more or less pro bono work for as little as the low hundreds...
It is not finished but just want your opinion if it reeks of nice design or
totally stinks, LOL!!

Thanks in advance for your reply.

It's a neat concept but that text that pops up in the area on the left is hard to read and also that phone thing is not very intuitive. I didn't know what it was until my mouse moved over it by accident. if you changed the background to a solid color instead of that stage picture it might feel less cluttered too.

sitegrinder is a good designing tool. the homepage design is too cluttered and layouts must be ordered nice. background is ok but the chandelier is not visible at sight.

Not really a fan. It looks pretty, but its not really that usable. The navigation is below the fold and from a seo standpoint, I don't know how google is going to know what it is. Source code shows not hints, there is no readable text, no attributes or tags besides the link title ones. It DOES look nice though. Just not usable.

I really appreciate everyone's feed back!!
I'm not done with it yet. I know it needs seo and tags etc.
It's really a front, landing page with visual appeal that will be
attached to a store with a shopping cart.
I do agree with the navigation menu needing to be above the
fold. I will finish tweaking and maybe cell it with all the code
and psd files, hehe! Back to the drawing board!!

Thanks again everyone!!!

Kinda of agree with the rest that it's more pretty than functional. Maybe incorporate the graphics into one smaller image at the top and then add some text.

I like your use of roll over effects and I like how you embed google map. However I dont like your font choice.

I would do something different with the background also. It is kind of a harsh contrast between the front and the flat black background.

The navigation buttons need to be more central or near the top to make the popup text boxes look neat and tidy. You currently have to scroll down to read the navigation buttons such as STORE and when you mouse over the pop up text boxes are half way of the screen.

But i do like the style and artistic look of the website definitely goes well with the antiques theme.
