Hi,

Does anyone on BHW know excel well and can tell me if this is possible?

I have an excel spreadsheet with a number of tabs. I have to populate many cells in each tab with specific information. The information I have to gather first comes from several sources other than excel.
It now takes me a lot of time to open and close each tab to enter the data into specific cells.

My idea is to add one more tab where I would enter all data I need to enter into several tabs already existing. I will use this newly added tab only and when I enter the data, it will be copied to a specific cell in one of the other tabs. When I finish, I want to delete the tab I have been working on but I want the data that was copied to other tabs to remain.

Is it possible?
If so, how to do it?
If I find it too difficult, would anyone be willing to do it for me? Give your expected fee.
Thanks

Not very clear. You can probably do it without a macro, doesn't sound too complicated.

I'll explain again. Let's say I have a spreadsheet with tabs A, B, C, D, etc.
I want to add one more tab called 'work'. If I populate on this tab cell A1, the data is to be copied to Tab A cell E4.
Then, when I populate in tab 'work' cell A2, the data is to be copied to Tab B cell B2, etc.
When I finish working on the tab called 'work', I want to delete this tab but I want the data copied to tabs A, B, C, etc. to remain.

How should I do it?

For single edits in A you can simply mark your cell then hit f2 to edit it and then hit f9 to save the value.
For bulk edits you "simply" mark the whole tab A copy it and paste only the value

If I were you I will go to Youtube and search keywords related to the issue i am having. By the time you watch 2-3 of the suggested videos, you would have found the answer.
