I recently decided to incorporate in Nevada and would like some suggestions on what is a good place to open a checking/savings account for my business (I don't live in that state so going to a bank would not do it). Anyone has a good place where the process can be done completely online? Maybe one that has a low initial deposit. I will be needing this to verify a Paypal account I will be opening. Thanks.
Did you buy a shelf corp? If so you can corporate bank anywhere, but I don't know of any strictly online banks. You can get a overseas bank , which pays somewhere around 2x-3x the interest a US bank does. But your money is not insured.
Not trying to hijack your thread but, what are the benefits of registering your corp in Nevada as opposed to your home state?
Wachovia has free biz checking. Mine was setup within 3 days after applying. This to is for my whitehat side of things. ---edit--- And can be done completely online but, they call you to verify things. They also email PDF's to be signed and emailed back or faxed if you have a fax to do so. It was a pretty simple process. Just go to wachovia's site and browse to business checking and take it from there. No deposit was needed or anything out of pocket.
You can open a business checking account completely online with B.an.k of A.meric.a You will be required to scan and email some signed documents to them but you won't need to enter a branch or speak with a live person.
If you are in the US you should be able to draft up the paperwork needed, take it in to any bank and open an account. If you are not you will need to get an ITIN. Looks like you can open a BoA account, but I wonder how they protect themselves against fraud doing that. Not to mention the patriot act.
BOA is the best bank for doing it quickly. They will require certain documents though such as the articles and EIN, etc. Since Wachovia is in question right now I would stick with BOA. Why does it all have to be done online if things are all whitehat?
They require more than that and if you are offshore, you cannot apply online! From the BOA website: "At this time, we are only able to accept online applications from U.S.citizens or legal residents. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. You can apply for an account at a local Bank of America banking center near you." In any case, you must have a Social Security Number, an ITIN or as a corporation, an EIN. We at Anonymousincorporation DOT com can help!
"Incorporate in Nevada? So you pay large portion of money to the US gov.! Have you ever thought about a offshore company with nominee director, offshore bank account with ATM card that allows you to draw money in US?" Well, I have made a reply in this thread but seems getting deleted. Is that kind of reply already infringed the rule in this forum?
Sam, make certain that you are very polite in your responses. I suspect that you are not a native English speaker and if I am correct, you need to be especially careful with your postings as you may be misinterpreted.
HI, you are correct. I am not a native English speaker. Not sure if my previous reply has been regarded as impolite. But I will be more careful afterwards. Thanks!
Sorry I should have added that I do reside in the US. Thanks for the info guys. I'll let you know how it goes.
I'm banking locally with an out-of-state (Delaware) Corp. In NY State, where I live and bank, I needed permission to do business here as an alien corp, which can be a big hassle I've heard ... but the bank took care of it for me. I use HSBC and BOA, but I'm sure most banks would be similar. One friend of mine really loves Commerce Bank. If I hadn't already inc'd in Delaware some years back, I would definitely jump on Uptown's offer to inc in Kansas. Best, Sine
