I'm back for some more SEO education from the gurus. I was thinking about the quantity aspect of backlinking strategies while waiting for my site content to be finished and it dawned on me that I keep reading about very slowly dripping out links, but there are also tools out there pumping out thousands and thousands of links in short order. Aren't these mutually exclusive? The only thing I could think of is that people using these have dozens of sites, each with expansive link wheels/pyramids so the links per page per month are actually fairly low. Can anyone who uses these mass link strategies effectively explain to me how the tools pump out links without attracting penalties from Google? For content, I read an awful lot about how Google demands quality content, but I don't really see anything talking about how Google determined what content is quality or not. Now, obviously, quality content over a long period of time will organically generate backlinks, but we want to speed up that process so that alone won't cut it. Is there any data on Google's efforts (if any) to determine content quality with algorithms?
