I need an idea/method on how to make money online as a beginner

Hello, i have been around for a while reading many threads but i almost never tried anything because i didnt feel confident enough about it.

I am 24 years old and I have been working as a Software Engenieer in an IT company since two years ago working from home.
My knowledge is mostly about Java but I am willing to learn about new areas if that is useful for my purpose, which is investing some time and also could be money (i dont want to spend a lot of money in something that will have no future or its hard to see results, i want to develop some skills and generate value based on that) every day (at first could be learning something and then putting it on gear) where i can see some progress and also the preference is an scalable business.

If anyone is in the same situation, wants to give me some advice

As former Software Engineer, my advice:

- Learn Sales & Marketing, those 2 areas are the foundation of every business in the world.

- I too used to be scared to "spend" money pursuing an idea. Even if it doesn't work out you can always make the money back. Plus you'll learn along the way.

- Finally, there will never be a guarantee an idea will work out. You have to really try (meaning put real effort into it not try for 1 day and complain it doesn't work). My proposed perspective is to think about the actions and effort needed to make failure impossible. That will give you a higher chance of success.

You have the skills to build something good but not market it. Learn marketing, so you can drive traffic to something you build.

I've been producing adult videos since before you were born.
So the only fast and dirty advice I can give you is based on smut. Get a very small camera (a good quality phone will do) and film up women's skirts.

If upskirt is too much for you then start with just creating and uploading creep videos on youtube.
It's a huge niche and the content should be really easy to monetize.

There is your first mistake. None of us were "comfortable" at the start of one of our projects, at least, not at first.

I saw a quote that applies here "Outside of your comfort zone is where the magic happens".

There is a TON of things you can do and places you can start. You have a leg up on nearly anyone here just getting started.

1. Freelancing with programming/software dev services.

- Create a portfolio showcasing everything you're allowed to show that you've publicly worked on/programmed/coded.
- Improve upon that portfolio by creating a few "dummy" projects to showcase there. It shows your skills and their range. See here for ideas on that.
- any freelance site like upwork, etc will be a bit saturated, but with any skillset, all you need is a good portfolio and you'll stick out.

2. Youtube/TikTok/IT Twitter.

- There are many tutorial channels out there for programming/IT, but there's always room for more. Youtube fluctuates what it deems relevant all the time and you can insert yourself into that with a little work.
- Creating your own course on Udemy & similar platforms like it would also be a good idea.
- Start learning how to place/create ads & market yourself on social media. There are PLENTY of courses online and any one of them will get you started.

3. Linkedin pages/groups.

- If you don't already have a Linkedin profile, you should create one asap. One of the keys to marketing yourself online is representation. In business/IT, Linkedin is step 1 aside from your portfolio.
- There are Linkedin endorsement groups, but I believe that's been done away with. There are also Linkedin marketing courses.

Thanks a lot for your response! I agree very much with that quote, the thing is sometimes you see many ideas here and you dont know where to start and if it is already oudated and doesnt work anymore. What i have in mind is to start a project where i can work on for a while investing some hours every day pointing in the right direction, i will take a look at that beginners thread hoping it will get me inspired.

Lots of resources but YouTube is free and good to start with. You can study the creators that interest you and see how they design their thumbnails, titles, how they promote their services, etc.

This is all sales and marketing and can help guide you if you decide to start a personal brand offering your services. An online business around your skillsets is scalable.

Some books I've learned from you can start with:

- Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini
- The 22 Immutable Laws Of Marketing by Al Ries
