I need an advice about virtual machine

If your using virtual machine to multitask projects.
What is your operating system recommendation for running 8gig of memory?
Every month I switch from XP Pro 64bit to Windows 7 64bit and can't decide which is stable and faster. Here is the reason.
XP 64bit is good but there is no hybernating option.
Windows 7 64bit is fast and it does have a hybernating option but it is also a MS trail version.
What should I choose?

not clear from your description what you are all about.
if you are talking about the host, I would recommend against MS (I have a bad feeling you are using Vmware Workstation) - it's an easy setup for trying your hand at virtualization, but carries penalties you'd better be aware of.
if you talk about guests, 8GB is an average pool of memory. best practice is to split it between various OS versions - Windows 2008 Server comes to mind as a formidable platform, assuming your apps are compatible. using trial versions for productions is also against best practice.

the virtual machines , running simultaneous will use each one set amount of ram memory ... multitasking can be done even on tabs from firefox and it's using less memory than the vmware console . I don't think win7 it's faster than xp for example but you can try some version of '' light '' linux productions like unbutu ... this ones don't need so much ram memory ...

Win7 64 on the host and XP SP3 32 on the VM

I use Sun Microsystems Virtual Box

Host : Win7 RC (build 7100) x64, Q9550, 8GB RAM
Guests : 2x XP x86 SP3, 1x Vista Ult x64, 1x Ubuntu Studio 9.04 x64 (umpteenth attempt at Linux)
Virtualisation : VMware WS 6.5.2
