Purely logically, how sensible would it be to start an advertising campaign in two different places at the same time? In the sense of not confusing the benefit of one with the benefit of the other. Sure, there's utm tags, traffic analysis and all that. But still, what would you do?

This is fairly common? You can start campaigns across a dozen platforms, as long as your utm tags and tracking are in place? Am I missing something?

I like both cats and dogs, but I only had a dog. She just passed away this week. Still thinking about her, huhu.

It would depend, how much of an overlap would it be.
at the same time, just look at big media, you have TV ads, billboards, radio ads etc all at the same time on a new product.
so, it is totally possible, you reach different audiences thru different methods.

I don't see anything wrong, the only think is that both advertisements should be totally different and I mean not copy and paste the same ad you can test which one performs better and what people prefer.
