I need advice for seo

Hi everyone! I just learned about SEO, and now I'm an SEO intern for a small company. I have a kind of stupid question: is there any way for a small company to compete with a large brand? The top search in Google is a large brand, and they have a lot of traffic every month. My company doesn't have much budget for SEO; I just want to make my website get in the top 10 and keep positions in that result. But with a low budget, my website just goes up and down on page 2 of Google search. Is there any chance for my website to get into the page 1 Google search results?
Sorry my english isnt that good, but I really hope to get advice what should I need to do. Thanks all!!!
It’s possible. Focus on Long-tail keywords and be ready to wait 3-6 months for results. If you can handle the timeframe and stay consistent.

Small businesses can rank against big brands by focusing on niche keywords, local SEO, quality content, and strategic backlinks—consistency and patience make page 1 possible even on a low budget.

It’s possible for small companies to reach page 1 by targeting niche keywords, writing helpful content, and being consistent with SEO.

Yes, small sites can compete, but not head-on. You usually win by going after long-tail keywords, tighter search intent, and niches the big brands don’t care about. With a low budget, focus on solid content, internal linking, and fixing technical issues first. Page 1 is possible, it just takes patience and picking the right battles instead of chasing the biggest keywords.

Yes, a small company can reach page one by targeting low competition long tail keywords, creating genuinely helpful niche content, and building topical authority instead of trying to outrank big brands head on.

With low budget you should target low competitive keywords first. publish helpful content. articles on topics that people are currently searching e.g. topics like where is post malone's next concert? simple PAA topics . but with low competition. That way you can get good traffic within a short time and will also get authority in the niche.

Large brands dominate head terms, but smaller sites win by targeting long tail, intent driven keywords and building topical authority around a narrow subject. Focus on on page relevance, internal linking, and content depth before links. Page 2 volatility usually means Google is testing relevance, so page 1 is achievable with refinement and consistency.

Congratulations on your new role as an SEO intern! It is not a stupid question at all—in fact, it is the most important question every small business owner and marketer asks.

The short answer is: Yes, you can absolutely compete. In 2025 and 2026, Google’s AI-driven search algorithms are actually designed to find "Helpful Content" and "First-hand Experience," which are two areas where small companies can beat giant corporations.

Yes, small companies can complete with big brands, but not by chasing the same keywords. Focus on long-tail and low-competition keywords, very specific problems, and local or niche searches where big brands are weak. Make your pages more helpful than their, not bigger. With a low budget, work on on-page SEO, good content, internal linking, and basic site speed. Be patient and consistent. Page 2 means you're already close - small improvements can push you to page 1.
