I need advice because I'm worried about being scammed.

Hi,

I’m selling my website, which gets around 4,000 organic visits daily from Google search. A potential buyer approached me with an unusual request. He wants to temporarily host his travel blog on a subdomain of my site. If Google approves his website as “organic search” (though they didn’t explain what exactly needs to be approved), they’ll buy my site and pay an extra + $10k. They’re also offering $300 for just one week of this test.

I suspect this might be a scam, but I’m not sure. Can someone explain the risks and the possible logic behind this?

P.S. I'm not ready to share my website here, sorry.

Don't do it. They are probably up to some blackhat or even hacking stuff. Save yourself the headache and reject this offer. Also, these people use the $10k + $300 for testing as a bait. I highly doubt you will see any of this money.

Also, I don't quite understand "approves as organic search"? Google treats a new subdomain like a completely new domain. They won't rank, they won't get organic traffic as long as they don't 301 redirect their website to this new subdomain.

If the website isn't earning no one will pay anything for a non-niche bases starter site + they might do a blackhat stuff and your domain might get penalised instead say them to go with escrow with all conditions mentioned
 
Why bother? If your site is worth what you are trying to sell it for then I would suggest waiting for a buyer that doesnt have the extra (And unusual requirements). Who knows what they have in mind but why take any risk at all adhearing to their strange request?

This situation does sound a bit fishy. Allowing someone to host their blog on your subdomain could mess with your SEO and even harm your site's reputation if their content isn't up to par or violates any guidelines.
