I'm about to setup an own mailserver on my raspberry pi. I think I can do the installation, I have a detailed instruction.
The problem: I have a dynamic home IP from my ISP and I'm not able to change it to static.
That's why I'm looking for a solution for this issue. I mean I could easily rent a VPS and setup the mailserver there, but I'm looking for a cheaper solution.
I guess a dyndns service is not enough for the email to go straight to the inbox folder on gmail etc. right? Google will still detect my dynamic IP and send emails to spam folder or block them completely.
What about a good proxy for the smtp server? I don't know if this works, that's why I ask you guys.
If this works, what kind of proxy do I need?
If proxy doesn't work, is there any other cheap solution?
