I need a SEO ecommerce expert advice

So It's been like 6 months since I started to learn SEO and build my ecommerce website (I sell puppies different types of breeds). I put effort into doing my keyword research and on page SEO for every product page.

.At the beginning I've created like 80 product pages (50 breeds but I created more pages just because many breeds have different colors), but as I was learning more about the market I realized that my earnings will come from just 15 or 20 breeds which obviously those are the popular breeds in my country.

1) I've already written articles about those 15 popular breeds that, if ranked, I think would generate sales for me.
2) I put my popular products on my homepage and navigation bar
3) Now, I'm planning to start a link building strategy.
4) I have 3 category pages but people don't look for category they just look for the product page. For example: There's few people who type "Small Breeds", they look for "Golden puppies, Labrador brown puppies"

So I have 15 product pages and 15 articles that I want to rank
My question is:
1) Where should all my backlinks point at?
2) Once I get the backlinks, do you think my other product pages (which are not that popular but they still have some monthly volume) will affect the way the link juice spread towards the 15 products that I want to rank for?

I hope I have been clear, I don't usually post threads so...

1.Focus your backlinks on the 15 product pages and 15 articles that you want to rank for, directing the link-building efforts towards these key pages to improve their visibility in search results.

2.While backlinks primarily impact the pages they link to, some link juice may naturally spread to other pages on your site. However, it's essential to prioritize the 15 key pages for your link-building strategy to maximize their chances of ranking well. Your other product pages can benefit indirectly from overall site authority improvements but might not see as significant a boost as the targeted ones.

The bulk of your links should point to your home page, the juice will spread out to all pages to a certain extent but you need to build links to your product pages as well that you want to rank for. This would be the safe option.

If you are going to build links only on your product pages then you might have a bigger boost but that can catch up with you as link building this way is really unnatural. If it's a churn and burn and you don't really care, then go for it but if you are looking for a long-lasting (and standing) e-commerce site then always build the bulk of your links to your home page. Your main keyword should correlate with the niche and should be the first keyword to rank on the home page, but if your niche is too specific and you only need to rank product pages then you should still build links on your home page and send the stronger links to product pages. Do not leave the home page without links.

Link juice can be affected by how many pages you have but I wouldn't necessarily stress about 80 products.

I would use most of the higher quality sites offering you links towards the homepage. Make sure you have a good primary keyword, not too difficult but decent volume. If you've done internal linking properly this should spread through. Then the rest (the cheaper and easier to find links), point to the product pages with the most potential and those which arent ranking at all as this will help indexing and give them a boost. You can also internally link to other product pages within the page you have a link to spread it further.

This shouldn't matter too much for you. If you want more link juice for specified pages you could also link to the blog page that's linking to the specified page as this also works quite well.

Targeting to rank and plan a link building strategy for your specific pages that you needed. It will be more effective. Otherwise you can plan for your homepage. it may spread the juice for some other pages too. But as more important thing is to create a clear goal and a well-designed link building strategy for your targeted pages is my suggestion for getting a good impact.

I think what you said would be the perfect strategy but I'm afraid that Google is going to think of it as unnatural, I want a long-lasting (and standing) e-commerce site but I don't know I've never done link building before so maybe there's not gonna be any problem If I do what you suggested me.
1) From your experience, do you think there's a chance that google would think of it as unnatural?
2) Let's say that I have 100 links ready, should I point them 50/50 to the product money pages and articles and does it matter the type of anchor texts?

Thanks for your response, from what I understood I should point my links towards homepage and product pages. Honestly I was thinking to point them to just product pages and articles but yes they do look a little bit unnatural maybe I can get away with it but I don't want to risk it since I'm in low budget.

Some really good advice here. If my products are listed just about 3 months ago, is it safe to start adding links from guest posts? Web 2.0s?

Yes you can. No problem. but when selecting anchor be sure to diversify it.
