Hey guys,

I'm setting up my facebook app and now facebook made a new rule per October 1 that requires their apps to run not only on http:// but also on the more secure https:// .. This means that I need a dedicated IP to run my app. I currently have an account with justhost and they require a 20 dollar fee for the dedicated IP setup.

Now what I am wondering is if there is a free or blackhat way to obtain a dedicated IP or any way to run https:// for free at all?
All the help is much appreciated!

Thanks guys

$20 for only dedicated IP set up  they are demanding more than the cost of IP. Usually web host set up dedicated IP at free of cost.

$20 for a year, i guess...I thought the https has something done with SSL (often come with domain)

To be honest if that price is per year its not far off the going rate. All companies are going down the 'ooo we are running out of IPv4 addresses' and hiking prices.

If thats a one off and then a monthly price on top I would go elsewhere :D
