I can not stand Traffic Travis 4, its complete shit. User interface is annoying and cluttered, cant figure out how to force updates, slow results, etc. Anybody know if there is a working version of TT3 around?

Same here. No force updates = total shit.

It only lets me update for whenever it's scheduled for. Are you using PRO?

I'm using free, and was wondering if this has affected pro users.
 
I actually kind of like TT4. My only complaints are that I can't force a project to check its rankings again (without the workaround below), as well as the fact that the results for keywords only go up to 100. I'd gladly bump up my delay just to get a max of 300 or even 500.

To Force Update: It's a bit annoying, but set the project as active, edit the project, and change the max from 100 to 99. Or if its 99, switch it to 100. The same can be said if you pretend to change keywords. Result = force update.

Although annoying, I've learned to live with this. They really do need a 'refresh-icon' to force an update immediately on the main project selection page, next to every project. That would be my ideal user-friendly experience request.

I'm using Pro and there is no force results, but if you just go to change info like keywords and then click update without adding or deleting any it will force the update. That's the only way I know how..
 
im using TT version 3 basic and 4 pro same pc
you right TT 3 more better
 
I'm using traffic travis 4 pro and having no problems with it. Perhaps I'll whip together a tutorial on the interface once you get used to it there aren't any issues!
 
I updated to v4 on my main PC and uninstalled it straight away, it is so bad. Is there even a button to check the rankings or do you have to wait until a stupid time to check...
 
I have Traffic Travis 3, and it still works great and has the odd update released, I can check to over 100 and can force an update whenever I like.

I tried out TT4 when it was released, and it was a bit shocking at release, so I still used 3 and I'm sticking with 3 for now.

I switched to market Samurai for a while, until they just screwed up, now I'm back to trusty TT3.
 
Side note, it seems I can bump it beyond 100 results... Though when you click on the up arrow the max is 100 and forces back down to 100... though if you manually enter in lets say 300 or 500, it'll check for that.

I am back to being a happy camper :)
 
So...
I've just dug deep into the recesses of my olde Recycle Bin and found a TT install I dl'd in July.

Anyway I've just uploaded this, and given it a virus scan.

err ok I'm not allowed to post it.

Been on the forum for like 7 months but it seems I have to be a member of BHW "for a little longer." I must be one PATIENT spammer.

So..uhh..tried to share this TT3 install but couldn't.

I'd pm you but I'm going to wager that is also forbidden.
 
I like the V.4 of TT, I'm using the PRO version though. It's faster then version 3 that I had before and also better in some other ways.

You should be able to find some old installs in google..
 
V3 is much better in my opinion and more user friendly , My TTV4 PRO is just sitting on my desktop gathering dust as i hate it so much!
 
I actually had to e-mail support because the second I upgraded to TT4 everything was just a mess. They've fixed many things in their later updates but I just kept thinking ah man why did I upgrade.
 
Ohh! I am so glad to hear someone else say the same thing I've been thinking.

TT4 is absolutely horrible. I can't stand it. I just dont understand how they think it is better?

I just got a new PC so I emailed them for the link to download TT3, but they just sent one for TT4. Will have to email them again. Otherwise I will be buying RankTracker.
 
TT3 scraper engine doesn't work anymore with g, so even if you had it, it wouldn't work.
 
Same here, i hate the V4 with all my heart.

The only cool feature i found is the SEO power of backlinks but that's it.

So i have both V3 and V4 (with dust)
 
Since TT3 doesn't seem to work anymore do any of you guys have suggestions for a decent alternative? Thanks mates!
