I made a HORRIBLE mistake!

So today i just realised I made a horrible mistake! I thought clicks and sales were aslo tracked with Example: www.getyourdog.com/hop?=(my account id). So not knowing much about click bank ( as i just started 4 days ago) I put this link in my link shortner then put it on my youtube video. I was testing my hoplink a few times and I was wondering why my clicks wasnt being recored in the databse. So I did some searching and found that clickbank sometimes has delays. So i left that hoplink on my link shortner for 4 days. So 4 days later I am still getting no clicks. So I did more reseach and found out i can check the system status to see if everything was fine. The system status showed no delays. So I was still a bit confused at the time. So a few hours later, when I was working on a new project and decided to promote another advertiser I found out I was using the wrong link! Luckily when the box pops up telling you this is your ref link i clicked it to see if another advertise i wanted to promote was working. To my surprise my click was registered!

Lesson learned. Luckily my videos are still increasing in ranks so I did not miss much. But for any who may of had this problem make sure you using the link that ends in 'hop.clickbank.net'!

Hah, at least you found your mistake soon enough. I have done so many mistakes just before calling it a day, and as a result lost a lot of traffic .... Argh ...

I am also promoting CB but i did not make any mistakes. But at 1st I did not find my statics, Where it is. LOL.

Considering you found the mistake 4 days in I wouldn't necessary say it's a horrible one... could have been a lot worse . Good luck with it btw.

Hey, luckily it was only 4 days. I have set things into motion in the past and found critical errors weeks later.

Don't worry OP, I can assure you we all did LOTS of mistakes when we were starting out. Take each one as a lesson
