1 cent per impression because I allow to show this stupid adsense banner on my site LOL which results in buying a few beers from the money now.

Since Adsense switched from CPC to CPM it is dead for me. I tried every ad possible with zillions combinations, it is CPM now for sure.

I run local sites for 20 years which means lawyers, car dealers, contractors, health etc. with lawyers the highest paying and now it ended because of the switch to CPM.

Goodbye Adsense, times change.

I can't understand people still reach out to approve new sites with Adsense. This is absolute nonsense for the reasons explained.

I got around 30%+ more earnings across dozen of websites since the shift,
Some of them do have the same earnings tho, I believe the change didn't take action in all of them yet

Were you gaming the system with clicks?

Because such drop is too much. If the CPC of a specific ad unit is high, the RPM of same ad unit should equally be high when charged by impressions.

Unless advertisers dropped their budgets following the switch.
 
Does high value CPC keyword matter less now? Are they devalued?
 
Change those sites to lead generation to get the most out of them.

Adsense has not been very lucrative now for quite long time. There are other ways to make money that will offer better revenue.

Okay, I spoke too soon. My earnings have gone drastically down since around Feb 20.

I've started to changes things around Feb 27, but it's still going down a lot. Prior to this date nothing has changed. The traffic is the same, every possible detail has remained the same. It's the adsense itself that has given me such low RPM. There is a big dip in clicks which I can't figure out why, but for some days it didn't change the earnings.
 
How do you earn $ with adsense? What even is adsense?
