NOT!

The winning bidder will not pay!!!!! :( F-ing wanker!

I have a great broker, who is a BHW member.....(I feel bad for him, as well)

I know Flippa has no control over these matters, so what good is their platform if people don't pay?

As Bill and Ted say: BOGUS!!

what a knob jockey!

Are you going to be putting it back up for sale. what niche is the website?

Man that is horrible. I'd be killing, i thought I was pissed when i lost $250 I couldnt even imagine what your going through.

Actually this is what happened to me as well.A so called french company won the auction for my site and they didn't pay. They wanted me to transfer the domain and site to their hosting first and then they would pay(Yeah right!) and the worst thing about it is that they only had to pay 150$ for it.Big company that can't pay 150$ for a site. These people should be shot! Sorry for you dude,24 k is a huge amount of $:(

Wait I'm not familiar with how it works, but you still have the site in your control right?

What scares me is people actually believe other people are stupid enough to fall for this.

OH yes! And no money lost. The the only loss is a respect for Flippa!

It's not gonna be easy listing it again with flippa and their warning about it being a re-listed site, but if you explain in the auction what happened you should be alright.

Next time don't accept bids automatically (if you did) and check out the bidders before accepting them.

I'd post it again, and since the buyer didn't pay, I don't think you have to pay re-listing fees.

i have seen the auction, i am sorry it has turned out bad :S

flippa - help/escrow Everything you need should be there.

Interesting...I was thinking about putting one of my sites for sale on there that makes around $3000/month on autopilot. I figure that it is worth somewhere around what you sold your site for. But as far as the payment and dealing with bidders I am unsure how to go about it. How were they supposed to pay you via paypal? Is that safe couldn't they do a dispute or paypal lock up your account for having $24k deposited at once. What was your expected payment method?

IF I were selling a site for that much, I would def use escrow

@sampo1time

Well the preferred method when it comes to selling website is Escrow they are just like Banks or Middle man Lets say you wish to Sell your website you will submit your website you Escrow they will have them with themselves and ask the buyer to pay for it when they will receive money they will hand it over to the buyer and send you the money taking away their commission .

Next time put in the AD

"I must receive payment PRIOR to transferring to your accounts. That prevents me from getting my valuable site ripped off."

Or something like that.

Also put

SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY
