Yes this is a post by a man who has fallen in love with his kitten. Ok here is the story, if there is one, its more like deep thought and realising something new in my life. Anyway, i always thought animals were animals, they come and go, and people who grieve for them when they die, whether thats dogs, cats or parrots, are just abit silly and abit too attached. This was a stupid, stupid assumption as you will find out. Soon enough my family wanted a pet, a kitten, fair enough it will be nice to have a kitten around the house, i dont oppose animals, i just thought that there is a certain level of attachment to an animal/pet. Carrying on, i hooked it up, my mates cat had a litter, and i went and got a kitten. And thats where everything changed, the more time i spent with the kitten, the more i grew to love it. The more i was suckered in by its selfishness its all on me attitude. The more i wanted to look after it and care for it. And in turn the kitten recognised, and would recognise me, that made me happy. But in that short period, i peculiarly had a bonding session with the kitten, whereby we created a relationship, which was more then just owner and pet. I liked the little perks in the kittens personality, the little things he does, and the little things he likes like being stroked for example. I learnt more about the kitten, what makes it an individual, and then i came to the ultimate realisation, that even if i were to get a different kitten, it will never ever be the same. And because of that i realise now why a whole load of people love the bits out of their pets because they are that extra investment of unconditional love, the fruit of a persons work, and ultimately they become a best friend who will be there for you, and play with you, need you and also love you. And thats why i love my kitten, because getting one opened my eyes, and yes people will say cool story bro, or i need to get out a lot. Trust me, i spend so much time with mates in the past that i hardly knew my family, but thank god i came back to family. But anyway thats not the point, the point is that hands up all the pet lovers out there, tell us what pet you have, their name etc and even pictures, because now i have become part of that massive community, who absolutely adore their pets and each and every one of them, knows and has individual reasons why they love that specific pet!! PS i havent chosen a name for my kitten, but any suggestions are welcome!!
