I lost my rankings on an MNS with EMD and only scrapebox links!
from pos #1 to #13

Oh... My.. God.. I just checked when I read this thread. I dropped to SECOND PAGE for my term I was first position for. I need something to break right now...

I'm going to kill something. All my other websites were hit too - I'm F*cking 5th page for other keywords I have been ranking 1-2 first page pos for.

April 24, I'm not going to forget this.

There is no doubt that this update won't stick around for long...

I'm still diving into the data to see what sites are sticking now, versus those that dropped. But I've got websites in which I've done nothing but SB spam with, and they are dominating the SERPs now. These are sites that I haven't created ANY new content for and the content is generally thin, and low quality.

Sites with amazing content, great followings, and killer backlinks have taken a drop by 5 - 10 positions.

For those that have seen SERIOUS drops, can you tell us more about your backlink profile? What type of backlinks do you have? How optimized is the anchor text? How is your on-site optimization?

So that makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com is ranking like others said for make money online, it's also ranking for make money first page and how to make money online. It has no content, so obviously what's going on is off-site factors. It looks like it's anchor text isn't that diverse, so not sure what's going on there. Maybe they're pushing shit sites to the top to see what it looks like and then switch it up, I have seen this before with a panda update but hard to really tell wtf is going on.

My site didn't experience SERIOUS drops, only one a few keywords it had held for awhile (ironically, these keywords best describe the site and are HIGHLY unique... as a result a lot of my web 2.0 spam is now ranking in the top 5, and my site is #26)

I did structures like this recently to the site, and it recovered MAJORLY only to drop again on the 16th

Tier 1 = 2000-3000 Web 2.0s with amazingly readable and awesome spun content + Press releases + wikis with same content... 50% raw URLs and 25% anchors around the keyword and 25% were the actual keyword. Did 3 such blasts since Feb on this site. All contained images or videos as well

Tier 2 = 20-30k web 2.0s, usually 10 or so blogposts per subdomain/account and each one linking to 1 tier 1 link, 1 authority site in niche (farmed about 10), and 1 link went to another random tier 2 blogpost

Tier 3 = 500-1 million SB and Xrumer blasts

Also a lot of manual blogpost work with random keywords and a few actual keywords here and there. Also did about 1000 manual high PR blog comments, all in context.
There was something like 450 angela backlinks made as well.

On site optimization is nothing short of exceptional. All keyword densities are <2% but they generally all have good density on the homepage. Tons of manual blog posts on the site (around 150) all unique, many over 1000 words, all with dynamic text and pictures

However, my feeder sites that send traffic and sales to this site? ALL of them jumped, but especially the ones I made and SEO'd in the last 2 weeks.
Churn and burn is my new strategy... it's working like magic right now.

About a week ago I made an awesome churn and burn conversion template... and will just be changing up the text on page once the sites drop after boosting them... it's worked so well, the first site I did it on is now #8 for the most profitable keyword in this niche (today already doing around $5k in profit so far)
Took basically no work... but my bots are unique and no one can emulate it... yet

Exactly what i was beginning to think as well.. i have 6 sites in the same niche, all with backlinks basically from the same places, and im not boasting or anything, but id say about 80% of those backlinks are high pr backlinks that were'nt part of any network or paid for or anything. Now my 3 EMD's have dropped pretty much from #1 to #2 or #3, and even though all the sites are getting their backlinks from the same places the non EMD's are nowhere to be seen. I agree with what you say about the site titles, because i've noticed that all the new (crap) sites that have taken my #1 place do not have an exact match title.. e.g say my keyword was "knitting needles for sale", well the ones ranking #1 now have something like "Knitting and sewing news for sale"...
I don't think im gonna bother go changing all my titles and h1 tags etc just yet tho, as i don't think google can keep it the way it is, but if i don't see my other sites bouncing back in the next couple of weeks this is where il be starting.
Byd way, i would admit that most of my links do only target 3 keywords with the exception of a few scrapebox blasts where i target up to a few hundred so if changing the titles and h1's etc doesn't do much i guess il have to start diluting my my total backlinks keywords from just the main three to including links like "click here" and "brown wooden knitting needles" and the likes. (lol my niche isn't knitting needles byd way!)

Time to move for Paid traffic

interesting, but weird, i have 6 websites, 3 of them the traffic remained the same, but the other 3, 1 doubled the traffic between yesterday and today at this time and i see a good improvement on SERPs on the other 2.
Hope some people had some luck with this google (update?)

This is crap all these droppings in ranks. My blog is unaffected. Try maybe Fiverr gigs to get some quick white hat seo.

That is absolutely untrue. I had sites that were ranked completely white hat that dropped off today. If that was the case, then this site makemoneyforbeginners dot blogspot dot com wouldn't be ranked #2 for the keywords "Make Money Online". The site has absolutely no content whatsoever and is ranking extremely high for a very very competitive keyword.

I got slapped but not too badly. I ranked number 2 for two keywords. These keywords brought the most conversions but not the most traffic.
My domain is 2.5 years old and a new wordpress theme was applied about 7 weeks ago. SEO was applied about 5 weeks ago, and 9 out of ten keywords were on page one.
then today i got slapped and one keyword is on page 2 one keyword is in position 43!!!!.




However then again i am in a highly competitive niche so dunno if it was because of a google slap, but i was on first page for all my keywords

Lost everything guys 40 sites not even rank for their domain name. I'm thinking of buying a fishing rod to fish for food.you can kiss my ass google-shit! A middle finger - just for you!!!

Finally I also got hit from Google.
Funny thing is my main site ranked in top 10 for about 7-8 keywords. Now only ranks for 1 and for others nowhere in first 5 pages

Most of my sites dropped out but 1 of them hit #1 for some reason!

i got hit pretty bad as well...well I see we keep posting about our problems here ..
