About a week ago, i was looking for a domain for my lead net pro software, and I searched a .com domain, I was surprized when it came back available so I hurried to checkout, (only to find out it was a $1000 premium domain) I couldnt afford $1000 so I went with the .info version instead. Then today, I had enough so I was gonna go back and buy it, and it said "already taken". So I typed it in the url and sure enough, someone already created a whole site with my domain!

I havent smoked in 10 years, but I think I really need some weed right now lol.

Didn't happen to buy it from GoDaddy or one of their affiliates ...did you?
Next week you will probably get an email saying "We have a domain for sale. Its the dotcom of the domain you already hold in dotinfo".

That is just pure bad luck, but follow the other owner and make sure to out rank them, You can outrank somebody with .info it happens all the time.

if they built a proper site then it's probably a coincedence.

If it's a holding page then they are probably doing some domain tasting. DO NOT visit the domain for a week, and use another registrar to check on its availability. They will probably drop it if it doesn't get much traffic or interest.

This is all icanns fault.

I agree, im sure it was a coincidence, (or a well orchastrated plan lol) because they have a whole site with like 30 pages..... But who knows :D
