baffles me how all those people get up each day and run around offices.

I do it 40 hours/week. Luckily I work in an office full of fun people and cute girls. It could be worse.

I do 40 hours a week too. But I am definitely going to change this soon.

I like to stay busy. I can't stand just 'laying' around.

I don't work a 40 hour week, but I wish I did have a part time job for the summer, that I can enjoy. Not necessarily for the money as I've got a good stream of income in IM'ing, but just merely to stay busy.

on to that 40? hours thing, this hasn't changed since the industrial revolution. I was hired before for SEO services and had to sit there all fricking day, after running multiple automation tools I was done for the week in one hour. The other time was spent in back stabbing, bitching at the owners, and pointless meetings with some 'phd' and photoshopping random people in teh office :D

I would rather hang myself than work from home.

I don't get that at all. lol? If you work 9-5 as a cubical jockey, you have

a) salary caps
b) 2 weeks vacay? yay!
c) office politics
d) reports
e) stupid boss most times

Here I can go swimming, gym, park, listen to tunes, nap, go on holiday when I want, go to bed when I want. I run it like a biz tho, just way more flexible, office atmosphere is wank.

Same. I have to stay busy. I have to work 17 hours everyday, otherwise I'm not happy!

I think it's the anti-social aspect of working from home. You have to spend a lot of time running a business. It isn't as easy as push a few buttons a day and make 5 figures a month, especially when you are new and don't know much. It's usually when you know what to do, outsource time-consuming things and such do you get to do all of those things.

Or do what most people do...waste time and don't make any money.

Well I've got school from 8:30 am to 2pm, and then I usualy sit in front of the laptop working on my seo clients or my own sites till 2-4 am. And the next day I usualy oversleep the first lessons @ school :). I guess I'm a work-o-holic

As a good friend of mine once said: "Money isn't the answer. Having a steady job, a house and a family that love you is enough for any man to live out his days peacefully."

So I smacked him in the head.

Glad you smacked the guy because he's gonna be first in the queue bleating to you when he retires with no money! Or looking for a job when he's in his 40s/50s.

It's amazing how well you sleep when you've got security.

People need to realize, not working for your self at ALL means you give up ALL your power to someone else, your under CONTROL of someone else, who the fuck wants that over their head? I don't know about the rest of BHW but I love working for my self and from home, theres no better feeling then being in complete control of my income and complete control of my life. I set my salary, and who gives a fuck about social? you only need a few friends, plus you should be spending your time online working on that next billion dollar company, not jerking around on Gaybook or stupid sites. Work hard and you will be rewarded with great things.

My 2 cents.

ROFLMFAO you call a 9-5 JOB SECURITY?!?!?!?!?!!?!? are you DRUNK?

Steady job is the biggest fucking lie in the WORLDS history.

Thats the problem with 90% of people on this earth, they want to live BASIC lives and "Pay the bills" Fuck that. This internet shit gives you the opportunity to become a multi millionaire MANY MANY MANY times over but no one sees it and it sickens me.

So what if running a business is hard? Have you ever worked hard a day in your life? do you seriously think becoming successful is easy? Hell if it was easy everyone would do it but 95%+ of people who try bitch the fuck out when they reach tough times. I say tough times are better because you become more creative.

well yeah, but still i have worked at companies, and the social aspect is overrated imo. Most of the time they were sat there with a) no music, b) no talking, and little in communication, most times it was just at lunch (1 hour), you chat sometimes at the water cooler. Rest is in email.

I work at home doing IM...I never sleep....

do u have a schedule? i don't i get up at 2pm im trying to get it to 10-11, i go to the gym upstairs in the building, put music on and do im.
