I just joined today because I'm interested in promoting my brand. As I understand it, BHW is one of the most reliable sources for information about SEO and social networking. As you will all know, it's a jungle out there with lots of scamming going on.

I'll try to use my time wisely, search the forums for information I'm looking for and people that I can work with.

Definitely hoping to do some networking and getting to know some of you (in due time) on a professional level. Sadly, Las Vegas and London are too far for a quick visit, otherwise I would have loved to come to the convention.

Well, it has been very interesting until now. By reading about others, I've learned about myself. The main thing i got very aware off, is that my motivation comes from an artistic drive. My first priority is to do something I believe in and that serves a purpose other than making me money.

From the beginning of my career, collaboration was the way to go. it's still something i truly love. Working on a project with like minded people and sharing success. Now, truth be told, I'm still reading thread after thread without understanding most of what is being said. What I do understand is that a lot of people here work alone and get help where needed. That while keeping up with the market, making a decent living. In a sports metaphor, I would be a team soccer player and they would be lonely marathon runners.

The thing i came here for is running smoothly. It will take time to grow and I'll let it. For now, I want to spend some time (of which i have a lot) on a solo project like many of you do. Keeping a journey thread also seems like a plan.

I'll keep you posted about my progress

You are right in a way, some on here are solo but some own businesses, like me, so we are not actually solo. When setting up anything online it's always best to do something you enjoy and it's always good to let projects grow at a pace you can handle.
