Hey Guys,
Just a real quick update....I have not disappeared and this journey will not be swallowed up into oblivion. I am taking an SEO internship right now and that is taking up a lot of my free time. I've also been really sick and that kicked my butt over the weekend. And on top of all that I've been doing some paid article writing and that comes first right now as it is my main source of daily income. I will be back and let you know what is going on with this site real soon

Ok Guys Here We Go! It's Time To set This Journey Into Action!
The last couple of weeks have been crazy for me. I've been sick, busy and had my daughter in the hospital. When you think you may lose a child it really puts your whole life as a father into perspective. So needless to say I dropped everything and have been in the hospital with her. I am happy to say she is fine now, and back at home. So other than trying to keep up with all the celebrity pic leaks I have decided to get this plan back into motion.
STEP ONE - FIVERR
OK things are going in a slightly different path than I originally decided. Considering I need money in the here and now, compared to 2 months down the road I have been concentrating on writing content. I have a gig on Fiverr that has been doing OK. As of right now I have a 100% 5 star rating and I am at 70% to becoming a level 2 seller. So I am rather happy with that. However, I don't see Fiverr paying all my bills, so I am getting ready to expand. I just had to get some housekeeping out of the way and put myself on a solid schedule. After the last week I had fallen behind on a few paid gigs, but thankfully the buyers were really understanding and worked with me. In fact, I just sent out the last orders a few minutes ago. Wnateg has been a real help to me, and even though we may be somewhat of competitors, I urge you to seek him out for writing assignments. He is a really good guy and really talented. If you haven't been reading his journey check it out, it is filled with great content. So I am going to do some work on reworking my gig description and add a portfolio to it this week. Wnateg created a video for me which I think will bring some more eyeballs to the gig. My overall goal is to eventually bring that Fiverr gig to 1,000 a month. I know that sounds like an unreal amount, but you only need 8-9 gigs a day.
STEP TWO - WRITING WEBSITE AND SALES THREAD
Keeping with the writing I plan to open up a website devoted just to writing sales, and hopefully in time funnel people from Fiverr to my own site. Also within the coming week I would like to open up a sales thread either here or another forum. I figure I will open one here first and see how things go. I believe here people are more honest about your work.
STEP THREE - AUTHORITY SITE
This was what this thread was originally intended for, and it was somewhat swept under the carpet. In all honesty I have had no time to do any work with it. I plan to churn out 5 reviews tomorrow and just drip feed them into the site.
STEP FOUR - HOUSEKEEPING
I had started a thread here on BHW where I was doing free articles, just to get some practice before I began charging. That thread quickly got out of hand and I feel behind really fast. It wouldn't have been too bad it I din't have that run of bad luck, but I just couldn't keep up. So I plan on finishing up all the requested articles and then closing out that thread.
STEP 5 - UPDATES
This thread is going to be updated at least once daily from this point forward in the evening everyday. So that is about all I have for right now. Looking forward to getting back in the saddle once again.

The very first thing I did today was write up 5 reviews for my authority site. I have them scheduled to go out once a week at various times. I am going to write up 5 informational/human interest stories tomorrow and do the same type of scheduling.
I am also going to start adding stats, because I know everyone loves stats.

Timne for a quick update. Let's start with the authority site.
Number of visitors - 7
I am creating new content for the homepage, I had some feedback from another marketer about what I am doing wrong. So I am going to optimize for my main keyword and include some longtails. I am almost finished, it's running at 1500 words for the time being. Sadly that is all I have on the authority site for today.
Writing
I created a bunch of free articles for members here who had requested them. Just feel behind, still have a few more to write up. Doing OK on Fiverr, think I have made almost 70 since I began. Not great but not bad, still trying to get more orders in. Yesterday I wrote over 3000 words alone for one assignment. So I am getting a lot of practice and getting my speed and creativity back up.
I am going to create a sales thread on another forum for freelancing. I was going to start here, but my post count is too low. So once I hot that barrier I will create a thread on BHW as well.
Tips
One of my biggest enemies in marketing has been time. I have a hard time staying focused and managing my time. While it has hurt my own projects, I knew I would have to manage my time better to meet and excede all deadlines. So I found two applications that have been wonderful. The first is focusbooster, which just is a simple time management device. I give myself so much time to research, write and take breaks. The second application, I wish I had found years ago. It is called Cold Turkey and you are able to block out all of the diversions that get you into trouble...Facebook, Yahoo, Reddit, etc I can not tell you how much more productive my day is with this application installed.
So if you have a hard time focusing and getting things done, search those out and give them a try. I block out everything that wasted my time from 8 AM to 5 PM and it really helped.
