I just realized that SEO is a little bit like the "Hunger Games". The Capitol holds the games just to show that they're in control. They kill off people just so they can show that they're in control. However, they do crown winners just to provide hope so that people will keep following and respecting them.

Now, we have negative SEO which is like us killing off one another. Of course, SEO is a battle in itself. We have Google as the Capitol who brings down our rankings just to show that they're in control and they're going to do whatever they want. But every now and then, we get rewarded with a top 10 ranking just to provide hope so we'll keep going and we keep following them.

Oh, and they change the rules just for the heck of it and of course, to benefit them. They do this with little regard to what's already established.

Yeah, I'm bored.

Yes it's 100% true and everyone already knows that so I don't see any point in talking about it- if you don't like then quit the "game" otherwise accept its rules.

You should read the "48 Rules of Power" if you haven't already. It compliments what you're saying nicely.
