Hello.

Thanks for reaching out to us!

We recently had to remove content posted by you to one of your Tumblr blogs, based upon a takedown request made under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (?DMCA?). Your account had already been the subject of multiple DMCA notices and, therefore, we had to terminate your account under our policies.

Please note that this termination is final and will not be reconsidered. In addition, any new accounts you create will also be terminated. Replies to this message are not reviewed.

Tumblr Trust & Safety

They don't fuck around :D
btw How are they going to know that I made a new account?

they are good at banning, sometime they detect your ip even you are using proxy.

They don't really care about new account creation. They will always let you make one. But banning is easy.

I wasn't using a proxy. I have been using the same ip for 5 accounts for months now, and they have only banned the one that got reported (multiple times) for copyright infringement.

What did you do? ;)

I used IFTTT to post pics to my blog from other famous tumblr blogs. I got reported. By this time I had like 2000+ posts full of cc issues, so they banned me. Next time, I'll find RSS feeds that are not from tumblr.

How do you know they don't care about new accounts? Has it happened with you before?

Damn OP that's pretty crazy. What niche was it to get that message if you don't mind me asking

Cooking, food, recipes, etc......

Yeah it makes sense you would get that. That is not something you wouldn't want to be messing around with since the picture's you're "taking" are theirs that they photograph lol. Did you try making a new account on a proxy?

Not yet. I am trying to lay under the radar for a couple of days :D

There policy is clear and strict. You can create as much account as you want. They will not mass ban you for "no reason", but they will eventually ban you for small infraction and there is nothing you can do about it.
They are not against automation as long as it's not for commercial use or aginst spam policy (which makes sense).

Read the TOS carefully and you'll understand what you can and cannot do.

I once got banned by tumblr too. Funny thing is that the guy who reported me sent me a message beforehand and kindly asked me to stop copying his content. Stupid me ignored it and got my whole account banned. But you're right, they only ban your reported blog, not your IP so I don't think there are any need for proxies.

By the way, finding RSS that are not from tumblr but works for tumblr through IFTTT is hard. If I were you I'd google for tumblr blogs in your nische, find blogs that posts 20-50 posts a day. Those blogs are usually automated too and probably won't report you :)

Wrong.

Just had my IP blocked. All accounts I logged into in the last week were terminated - even ones without content yet.

All accounts I created with my IP in the last week "but were now in my bot under a different IP" are safe.

It seems Tumblr terminated all my blogs that were last logged into with my IP within the last 3 weeks. Older ones are good and newer ones in my bot (with proxies) are good too.

Tumblr has also - at one point - deleted multiple blogs that were in my bot that had proxies with a similar IP range.

They do ban in many ways.

Nothing you can do about now. Just make a new one , restart the work.

Imho it's best to expect being banned at some point. This way damage is kept to a minimum.

It is just what I said. They ban for a reason, they hate automation & SPAM.
You can have 20 blogs on the same IP, if you are clean content, no Spam or affiliates in a number that could raise a flag, you're safe.

now if you wanna spam the shit of tumblr, they have no mercy and will ban anything that are related to you; It's just fair game.
