So, I was looking for content and I met this guy. We talked a lot and he assured me that although he is a novice, he is going to put his heart out in researching and writing my content.

He showed me the notes he made while searching and then I paid him twice before running the articles through copyscape.

The dude copied lines verbatim from sites and now I have been defrauded of around $80.

This was my hard earned money. I have contacted the bank and they are running an investigation or something. The lady on the service line said that I have a little chance of getting my money back since all things were done by me and none else.

I then called and abused the bastard while threatening to file charges. This led to 40% of my money getting back to me.

He is asking more time to write all work again.

Just letting people know to be extra careful.

so many good places to buy content from and you're buying content on telegram?
Most of them rewrite existing blog posts. I haven't found a good one yet. I cant pay $60-70 per article either.

So who was that person? How can we avoid him? Is he a BHW member?

If you know who he is. The fact that he returned you an amount can be used against him IF you're gonna take the legal way..

kinda sus don't you think?
Yes, the good ol skeptical me went for a ride that easily lol

I don't want to take the legal way. That would cost me more than what I was scammed for. Though that could make his life miserable.

writers from BHW? if you have solid evidence, talk it with a mod, you could threaten to shitlist them (i heard it usually doesn't go that far before you get a refund, since no seller wants public drama). get your money back and keep the forum clean.

Ooops! Sorry. That must hurt
to lose your hard earned money!

In Telegram, if you receive a DM from an unknown person, it is alomst 100% a scammer. And, legit Telegram channel's admins usually say "I / we never DM anyone first" (there are few exceptions, though). But, as far as Telegram goes, just do not deal with any unknown persons.

Come on mate, everyone knows this is going on, and it's expected considering the price. There's only a handful which actually can write.

if that was the advertised service, sure. but that's not valid reasoning it was a regular content writing service. if a seller tells me he is going to write me an article for 40usd, i expect him to write me an article for 40usd. quality is one thing, but if he goes and rearranges a top 10 article from the serp, its not a quality problem, he is scamming me. to put it in a more concise way, when sales threads get approved, there is a disclaimer when imodbot approves a sales thread:
  • Service Quality: The quality of the product or service that I receive is what you should expect, or better. If you feel that the quality of the service has dropped significantly, please let us know via the report button.
now, you think they gave the mods reviewing the thread a rewritten article? i don't think so.
at the end of the day, its the mod who decides if there is a shitlist case or not. if the buyer feels he didn't get what was advertised, he should talk it with a mod.
