I just got JrVip threads.

It's great to see members becoming JrVips but do we really have to see all these,
"I've just become JrVip" threads?
It's a bit like high fiveing yourself in public or likeing your own posts on facebook.
Guys and girls; If members of the forum are happy to see you as a JrVip they will
congratulate you in whatever method they feel.

Self promotion only weakens your stature.

Anyway congratulations to you all for deciding to make the move and thank you
for you dedication to BHW but come on it don't make you a superstar.

For some guys becoming Jr Vip is a big goal they have dreamt of and worked hard to reach. $97 is not tip money for everyone. I dont see much harm in it.

In my opinion, I think that we should have a kinda dedicated thread (like a sticky)
where new VIP's can post that they have just joined.

In that way, the threads will NOT clutter up as much,
and, at the same time, it will afford the new members the opportunity to declare
that they have reached their target (or for whatever reason, or whatever motivation they had to go blue),
and then other BLUE members can post their welcome messages on their (the newly added) respective posts.

Also, if new members join for reasons such as to post a BST etc...
it gives them the free opportunity to state that in their opening post!

The "remember kids are here" defense is 100% understandable, but off the mark. Teenagers are the youngest here who are serious, not kids, and they do know better. If they don't, they'll know a bit better now. "What are you talking about?! Teenagers are kids!" They drive, and vote, drink, do each other, and own firearms. No, they are not kids, they're adulterers learning how to become adults.

Well, I feel bad because I am "one" of those new Jr. VIP's that made a thread stating it (today actually). For me, it was not about the $97. I make that in an hour sometimes. It was about achieving a certain goal for myself, and then purchasing Jr. VIP as a reward to myself.
