So I posted a video 2 days ago right and my video is high quality and optimized with SEO and somehow a channel with 100 Subscribers gets more views than mine in a day without using tags, no thumbnail and the quality of the video is not nearly as professional as mine and I have almost 100,000 Subcribers. I'm baffled

They might and once their panel completes the order - maybe the owner will optimize the video for real views.

It can be because of shitty YT algo as well.
 
Yup its unpredictable. But as you said your situation with your subs and his suvs are compared, your content quality and hus contentvquality is compared. Thats the only way to boost hit like that.

And dont judge a book by its cover. You dont know smart ass behind the scene.

SEO is not only the skills, but you also need some luck and blackhat to make sure you are on top.
 
It can be that they're using blackhat techniques to gain a boost. But how viable is that in the long run? I think engagement means more than views and the only way to do that is by putting out engaging videos.
 
sounds like they are using blackhat ways to boost, but you shouldn't worry much about that, just focus on your channel and be consistent.

Nothing much with the madness of youtube this days, it's super random the algorithm this days, and it require a lot of luck combined to hard work to break through. :p
 
Maybe they have some other strong social presence? Search for their video on twitter or FB. Perhaps it went viral somewhere.
 
since your competitor statistics are private, you can't really tell what is the source of his traffic, that can be from YouTube (search/suggestions) if he got some channel authority and got lucky with a good selection of title/description.
or it's an external source as mentioned above (social, email campaign, or something else).

you can google for his video ID, to see if it was mentioned, also search twitter and other social networks, sometimes they can leave hints, that you can use for your own videos.
 
Yeah I've been posting consistently for 8 years I'm doing well as of recently I'm just concerned becasue it makes no sense someone with 100 Subscribers suprassing me and it has happened on multiple occasions. Sometimes i think my channel is like surpressed or something idk, it just don't make nooo sense lol i know LUCK plays a large factor on this platform but I also make sure I do vidoes to topics that are trending to increase my chances of a viral video. Just food for thought

The possibility can also come from the use of MCNs. Let me explain:

A YouTuber owner has 10+ different youtube channels and start's Channel X.

When Channel X is about to post a new video, he promotes the video through the community tabs of his 10+ different YouTube channels which is perfectly allowed on YouTube.

By starting an empire of youtube channels, you can ethically boost new videos you post on brand new channels. It's a domino effect:). I community tabbed one of my new videos on a new channel and it instantly got 700+ views which is pretty good for a new channel.
 
well there is also possibility that your competitor buy view.
