I have the same content as another website. Would changing the title improve my incoming?

So I may or may not have a website similar to another website. The titles and description is exactly the same. Would changing the titles improve my rankings on google? Or does it not matter? Thanks.

double content is a no no. Just write your own content

It really matters a lot. You must need to change the titles / description.

If you use same description of your competitor then your website rankings either not shown on search engines or ranking drops.
