Give me some ideas on how to make a book popular, or at least get it to appear in search results, I am from India and my target Audience is USA.

do you have any particular skills/passions that could be turned into a book?

That's good to know

I will publish it on amazon since this is going to be my first time
I recocmmend checking out draft2digital, they have an extensive puiblication network including amazon, and its only about $12 to publish a year with them if you make less than $100. They list on barnes and nobles, and libraries around the world.

If your going to write romantic fiction, what books on the subject are you consuming? Every successful writer reads ferociously too.

Checkout the sword of truth series. Its not quite romantic in terms of main details, but there is a love story running through it as the main plot.

How are you planning on writing? What is your editor? and how do you keep notes. For some fiction stories that i'm writing i found it easier to do a few google docs on lore of the world. Thhen you can write a coheriant story and plan the whole stages of the plot, and pick from your encyclopedia what goes in your world. Good luck.

Romance fantasy is actually a nice niche for amazon. You could start by spending some time looking at the books that are already doing well in that category and see what readers are responding to.. especially the cover style and tropes. that can give you a better direction for positioning your first book.

Bro, when your new book is published, don’t forget to send me a purchase link. I’m really interested in it :)

For a US audience, I would concentrate on the discoverability of my book on Amazon/Google, excellent keyword research, an impressive book description, effective author branding, reviews, and promotions specifically targeting the US market.

Visibility should be earned through niche forums, social media, podcasts, and backlinks.

Your product itself is the advertisement - if the product is too good, it will bring buyers automatically.

btw, May i know the niche of the book? Just so we can guess if it reach globally or not.

The ideal solution is to get people from the US to read and leave a review

I would start building interest before the book is even published by sharing useful content around the topic.
That way, you’re not launching to a cold audience and hoping people discover it afterward.

I found that site confusing but thanks i will look into it .
I’m still experimenting with what works best for me. I’m thinking of keeping separate Google Docs for the world building.
I haven’t decided on an editor yet either, since this will be my first book. My current plan is to learn as much as I can about plotting, character development, editing, and publishing before I start.
