I have investment in a site..

I have enough money to invest in creating my first website. I will be using the amazon affiliate marking and AdSense in order to generate

income off of the site. My question is are there any decent spoonfed ways to create a good looking website? I was looking to create a

store style website. I already have ideas to generate traffic so that isn't the problem. The problem lies into making the actual website

that looks good and is easy for a person to locate the product they are searching for. I'm not willing to pay for a person to create it since

I want to learn and in the future apply it to creating more websites. I will be open to purchasing a guide or walkthrough on it or if anyone

has helpful links with step by step guides would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I'd recommend using Wordpress to build your site. You'll find lots of great looking templates in the downloads section here and by browsing those you'll get a feel for what your site could look like. You'll need hosting, but nothing expensive (think $5-10/month range) and here's a quick rundown of the process:

1) Register a domain name (Godaddy, namecheap, etc)
2) Get hosting (Godaddy, hostgator, etc)
3) Install Wordpress (most admin panels make this easy and you'll find a bunch of videos to walk you through it on youtube or on this website)
4) Install a decent looking theme
5) Customize the theme within it's theme options

It's really about that easy, you can make this as complicated as you'd like but a lot of great sites start from those steps above.

Thank you that is a big help! I've been wanting to start a website and now I have the time I need to put into it and hopfully create something successful.
