I have a question regarding website statistics

    I'm looking for a site or tool thats tell me exactly how many people are visiting my website and where they from etc. I have found google analytics but i whas wondering if someone knows a better way. So what do you guys use for checking your website statistics?

    Google Analytics is the best way to get more info than this u need to join google!

    Do they charge money for their services ? And is there any risk if i join them cause im not sure what info i need to give them.

    No, they don't charge money for that. However, with Google Analytics, you basically allow Google to see all the data about your site. If you prefer not to share with them, you can get a self-hosted solution, such as Piwik (Google that) :)

    Why would you say GA is the best? I find them to be among the worst.
    I root for piwik as someone previously stated.

    Interesting the thing is the company where i bought my domain offers a website statistics check but the overview is not really good so i'm not sure if i should go with google analytics beceause they can check all my data...
