I have a Question about Article Writing for my Website

So I made a website for new news,music,video,etc. in hiphop/etc. I make beats and am in the music niche so i figured this will work out pretty good...Im looking on other site's to get the latest stories, music and so on...I see other sites are just copying and pasting articles and putting a SOURCE link on the bottom...I never knew it was that easy...Or are these people doing it all wrong...I just wanna know how legit that is and if some one can point me in the right direction to learn more about running a site like this...

don't do that. don't post copied content on your website. even if your website will not harm, it not gonna help you anyway. google spiders will ignore your website if you copied other content and after some time you may get some content related panlty. you will lose at the end.

Write your own articles if you are hoping to rank on google for the keywords. Copied content is as good as nothing

You shouldn't copy anything from any other website if you want to rank well on Google. Also, people tend to ignore those websites. At least once a week I read the same article on three different sites - sometimes just translated into different language. It is a bit annoying. You would be better off just writing them yourself.

It maybe a good idea to get those articles and spin them as much as possible, or just get original articles from another language sites and translate them.
Or is there someone who can confirm that if the content is translated, its not considered duplicated by google crawlers ?
