I have 600+ updates in Reader to read everyday. How do you manage it?

So I'm subscribed to ~25 feeds via Google Reader. Some of them are big blogs like Mashable, TC etc. In any span of 24 hours, there are nearly 500-600 unread items (except on weekends). Now even going through all of the titles takes a lot of time and I may miss something important. How do you manage your reading of such large quantity?
