There are stealers, RATS and botnets nowadays, one of the things they do is clean crypto wallets and - save the wallets who are protected.

If someone has it, why don't I have it?

If someone has it, why are others not using it to make more secure private keys?

We use 128 bit and 256 bit because they are secure enough, and fast enough to use.

If we have hardware that can start to crack it, then we have hardware that can make use of even larger private keys. The bitcoin miners have access to the same technology as the crackers.

This is one of the reasons the whole quantum computing argument doesn't make sense.

Quantum computing isn't some magic thing with infinite speed.

This has nothing to do with cracking private keys.

There have been RATs and botnets since the late 80's. It's not new.

Botnets can't crack private keys. Please, check the math above. You would need a GPU for every atom in the universe to attempt to guess 24 word BIP39 seed wallets.

If someone has a RAT on your computer, then they can get the 256 private key. It's encrypted with a phrase, but if they're key logging they'll get your phrase and encrypted seed list.

That's why you keep the bulk of your funds in an air gapped wallet.

Nothing new. It's as old as the internet.

I think ransomware and rats isn't exactly breaking cryptography or keys.

Maybe someone did it but chances of success sound minimal.

I'd rather win a lottery than crack it.

It aint too much money.

So;
1. Swap it to a safer crypto, probably usdt.
2. Wait for bear market to finish (crypto goes down in value)
3. Swap back all of your usdt to either btc or an alt coin (xrp, etc, etc)
4. Once it doubles, swap everything back to usdt.
5. Now u should have like 18 mill usd.
6. Cash out 5mill to irl cash (bills), and keep on trading the rest.

I knew a guy who tried it. He got his funds stuck. Nobody was able to break it. He lost it.

I think he mean 217 usd worth of btc.
