What is this? Someone made a chargeback on 3 purchases totaling $500 (which I delivered in full) from 4 months ago....The purchases where deducted from my account. I already delivered these, and since when can people file chargebacks on transactions over 100 days old... This. Is. Frustrating. lol

Ya paypal really sucks. Someone ripped me off too the other day. Paid for goods that I never got and paypal gave him the money when i filed a dispute. I'm going to hit paypal so hard soon. Get back all my money with lots of interest. :)

A guy sold me a product, never shipped anything and then calls paypal and tells them it was a virtual good. I gave them proof of all the conversations to prove this and the fake tracking number he gave me too. In the end they awarded him the dispute. Now I'm going to hit them very hard.

not that I like paypal, just that there arent better options out there. Every system has his shortcomings , well it just thats we have to be more careful and have as much as relevant data and proof, so that the decision is favoured on our end.

I do not use paypal so i can not deliver any thing about paypal.

I never understand threads like these.
I've been with Paypal literally since they began.

I have filed several disputes both as a business merchant and as a purchasing customer over the years and have won every single one. Hell, i've even had exceptions made, such as refunds on software i've purchased, which technically isn't refundable.

There is ALWAYS an exception to every rule, period.

If your case is legit and your account is in good standing, there should be NO reason at all why you can't CALL and ask to speak with a SUPERVISOR (from the US no outsourced over seas representative crap...) and get your issue resolved.

I don't care what anybody says , Paypal compared to Paxum,MoneyBookers, Payoneer (all which I have...) is waaaaay more convenient, trusted reachable and reliable. Granted there are a few others on the rise (which I actually hope will level the playing field ....) like Gumroad,Selfy and a few more.

If Paypal is persistent about not honoring your wishes contact your bank and see what options you have with them. I have done this before as well.

Hope you get your issue resolved

I agree with the bigmamas above me... I've used Paypal since day one and never had any larger issues that couldn't be solved by talking.

Plus, when it comes to chargebacks Paypal only gives you 45 days to file for one.. after that it's the creditcard companies/banks that are to blame! So why the hate on Paypal?

I agree with this.

I really do hate PayPal. I've had several issues with them in the past. But realistically, they're soooo much better than the alternatives and I think that overall, they still try to handle things reasonably well. If someone files a dispute, they do have to look in to it and try to resolve it. Someone is always going to lose and the person who does, is going to complain.....no matter who was right/wrong.

I find the key is not just laying down and excepting defeat. It doesn't matter if it's Paypal or whoever.

OP should be persistent and lay out his case well, after reviewing Paypal's TOS through a fine toothed comb.

As I said before I have filed several disputes over the years (as in well over 20...) In fact i'm certain they probably have a special note on my account like "Here comes this guy again...:p" Still at the end of the day communication can get you what you need.
