I hate ebay

eBay and PayPal fees are tough for sure.
However if you find the right product then your good to go.

Take Care,

yeah. Ebay fee system sucks and customer care sucks even more. But it has pretty awesome traffic. I was never left empty handed when I sold on ebay. love it or hate it ,you WILL make money if you can find some good deals.

Every business exists to make a profit! Granted, their profits are ridiculous. Lots of companies to be annoyed with on the internet though that's for sure!

You Know in Taiwan everyone uses Yahoo auction and many people here believe it or not do not even know what Ebay or craigslist is
No one else in the rest of the world has had any luck with yahoo auction?

There are currently only three localizations of the service active in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan; Yahoo! has already discontinued the service in United States, Canada, Singapore, United Kingdom and Ireland. The US and Canada sections of the site were closed on June 16, 2007. The Singapore section of the site was closed on September 22, 2008. The UK and Ireland service was closed on June 28, 2002. During the shutdown of the UK and Ireland service, Yahoo! took the unusual step of endorsing its main auctions rival

Yahoo! Auctions was preferred by some sellers for its no-fee policy — all revenue was from advertising.

anyone tried these 3 auction sites and marketed the links to elsewhere in the world???
and anyone tried using yahoo wallet as a replacement for paypal on ebay site?

Basically you need to sell products where the profit margin can cover the fees and make a healthy
profit for your time and effort.

I don't get it....If you still make money with ebay why complain about the fees ?

Then shut it down, save the fees and stop earning anything there.....

True, the fees are high indeed. But wouldn't you charge people up the yingyang if you could provide that kind of traffic ??

other sites i have had some success on that you can import from ebay
ebid
bonanzle
ecrater
ioffer

Try them out!!

I moved off of ebay & Amazon.

For what I was selling the fees where to high with the limited profit margin and the amount of competition with people selling the same stuff I was.

I've had way better luck with http://yardsellr.com/ I may sell less but I'm also able to charge more for the products and people seem to be less of a pain in the ass.

I also have some items I can sell on http://www.etsy.com/ that do pretty good.

I try my best to diversify with eBay and Amazon. Whenever I get good and mad at eBay I switch over
to Amazon for a little while lol.

This is what happens bro, governments tax everything, a lot of companies use the same profit models.

eBay blows, erryone knows that. question is can you deal with it and make $

$70 fees..depends on the profit. You know in the REAL world if you had store you would be out $10k+ every month before you start. If you make $50+ profit it's no problem.

They just ripped me off. I paid my fees that were due and my account is now suspended. Only a few quid but still annoying.

Yeah i hate Paypal fees too. Everyone hate's it, but you can't do anything about it.

Ebay gets 10% of your sells via fees and paypal. You must think about it before selling something on it. But ebay offers you a worldwide buyers.

I have paid eGay & PP soooooooo much in fees these last 2 years it is rediculous. However, I have made sooooooooo much on eGay that it is hard to complain!

The only decent alternatives to eBay that I know of are Amazon and iOffer.com. Amazon is annoying because you can't sell too quickly if you are a new user or you get suspended. iOffer is known for replicas of all kinds.

I never had a problem with Ebay, the only thing I do not like is paypal, they froze my account, never explained anything and they keep making excuses not to get me my money. Years ago I could receive and send payments with checks but not any more
