I hate blogs. Here's why. The content can be evergreen, but you have to continually update your blog. It's never-ending. People expect a blog to have updates, right?

Is that why you hate blogs ? Then, I'm not sure what you are doing here ..

That's how I feel about a 9 to 5 job.

This is a good analogy actually. Only difference is you can make a lot more money with a blog, if you work hard enough. Besides, once it starts paying off, you probably won't want to stop working on it? Why not invest some of that money and get someone to update your blog for you?

This. Outsourcing is the key. Work hard at first so that you can invest in the highest quality content writers in the long run.

Go further and hire someone for content searching and updating your blog.

In Soviet Russia, Blogs Hate You. Here's why. Blogs ain't goin nowhere. No Google can take em down. Hmmm PPC into this and this and nobody takin my site down I make the moneys here there yes.

haha exactly -- the difference is that your content on a blog continues to add income to your business/the value is always there.

Once you give up 10 hours of work to a business you don't gain anything else, nor anything long-term.

Whatever you do as long as live, it won't end except a dead body jump inside you!

Hire someone to write a series of blogs and schedule them to be drip fed. Depending on how many posts you purchase, you can update your blog several times a week for months at a time without having to worry about feeding the content machine.

Yes, blogs are a treadmill - and you're the hamster!

I now build static sites with WordPress - and I'm no longer a hamster

I hate IM because it keeps me away from the beautiful world.

Take it like this... more pages = more traffic = more money... I like the blogs :D

Get a blog to a point where its making you money then you can start to outsource. Yeah sure, blogging is still gonna take up some of your time but so will every other online money making method - scaling up and outsourcing is the key

Till you can do that you have to do the hard graft yourself

Just the way it is :)
