I didn't have internet, cellular service, electricity since Friday lol, ran out of food on Monday and went grocery shopping and somehow managed to charge my phone at the store and I'm online now. Sadly there's no water so I took a sponge 'bath' using mineral water bottle eh :/. I'm mostly fine and not drowning, just confused af and wondering about my flight. I saw in the news people in Colombo (that's where the airport is) were basically swimming in water?? Idk what's going on, since I had bottled water and some food I stayed home and napped for couple days lol.

I did not hear about this until now. The river depth was double what they consider extreme! I hope your flight doesn’t get impacted but the river level is expected to fall below danger level within the next 4 to 6 hours. Be safe hope you get power back soon!

There's like, this hole in the garden, I think excess water goes there? Got power back but it's still not fully functional but mostly ok, cellular service came back today. Still no water but I managed to order bottled water and some food from restaurant online lol.
